West Ham United keen on Flamengo star Pedro
West Ham United are considering making a move for the talented Brazilian striker Pedro in this summer’s transfer window.
According to Fichajes, the Hammers have been keeping tabs on the 25-year-old and is ready to make a push to bring him to London Stadium.
West Ham boss David Moyes is a big fan of Pedro and sees him as a crucial addition to the team. He aims to bring the former Serie A player back to Europe in preparation for the upcoming season. With a focus on strengthening their attacking front, Moyes has targeted Pedro as an essential transfer target for the club.
Pedro started his career at Fluminense in Brazil before making the move to Fiorentina in 2019. However, after only half a year in Serie A, he was loaned back to Brazil. Despite not making a significant impact in Italy, he returned to South America and eventually signed with Flamengo permanently in the winter transfer window of 2021.
West Ham United’s interest in acquiring the services of 25-year-old striker Pedro has been reinvigorated. In the current season, Pedro has appeared in seven matches and has scored nine goals.
Moyes is willing to pay over €40 million to secure Pedro’s signature. The former Fiorentina forward could help the club in their fight against potential relegation, as they currently sit 16th in the Premier League with just 19 goals scored in 22 matches.
In addition to adding goals, Pedro’s arrival could provide a much-needed boost to West Ham’s squad. However, the club will face tough competition in the transfer market, and it remains to be seen if they will be able to successfully bring the striker to London.
