Tottenham Scout Eintracht Frankfurt Forward Younes Ebnoutalib After Cologne Winner

Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to monitor Younes Ebnoutalib after the Eintracht Frankfurt forward made another eye-catching impression in the Bundesliga.

Spurs Send Scouts to Deutsche Bank Park

According to TEAMtalk, Spurs representatives watched the 23-year-old score the only goal in Frankfurt’s 1-0 win over Cologne on Friday. The visit also allowed them to check on Mikey Moore, who is on loan at the visitors, but Ebnoutalib was the player who made the difference, netting just over ten minutes from time.

That strike took his tally to five league goals and eight goal contributions in seven appearances.

Why Tottenham Like Ebnoutalib

Spurs have followed the forward for some time, so this was less a knee-jerk reaction and more a progress check on his development. His rise has also reportedly caught the attention of Germany’s national setup, with Julian Nagelsmann’s predecessor Jurgen Klopp said to be among those impressed.

Could He Solve Spurs’ Striker Question?

Ebnoutalib appears to blend physical presence with sharp movement and composed finishing. At 23, he is young enough to improve yet ready to contribute now.

With Dominic Solanke still searching for his best form since his record move from Bournemouth, another option up front could make sense.

Our Take

Patience feels sensible. Eight involvements in seven games is impressive, but defenders will adapt, and Ebnoutalib’s response will be telling. Winning a tight game, rather than padding stats in a rout, suggests real substance.

The risk for Tottenham is that his price and the competition for his signature climb together if he keeps this up.
