Chelsea join race to sign Saul Niguez

Chelsea are reportedly ready to lock horns with Manchester United and Bayern Munich over the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez this summer.

The 26-year-old midfielder has spent his entire career with Los Rojiblancos, and recently won the Spanish title for a second time.

However, the Spain international struggled for form throughout the season, and the La Liga champions are prepared to sell him amid their financial debts.

It was recently suggested that Bayern Munich had agreed to pay around £68m for the Spaniard, however, AS claims that Chelsea have joined the list of clubs wanting to sign the playmaker.

Niguez has another five years left on the existing deal.
