Miralem Pjanic on Arsenal radar?

Arsenal have reportedly joined the list of clubs wanting to sign Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is expected to bolster his midfield options ahead of the new season.

The Gunners are thought to have stepped up their interest in Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, but they will have to offload another midfielder before making their move for the 23-year-old Frenchman.

Pjanic could be an ideal target given his struggles at Camp Nou, and Sport (via Sport Witness) claims that the North Londoners are ready to enter an intense battle for the Bosnia-Herzegovina international.

The 31-year-old midfielder arrived joined Barca from Juventus last summer, but he was only handed six top flight starts in the 2020-21 season and is expected to move elsewhere in the coming weeks.

Pjanic has a deal at Camp Nou until 2024.
