AC Milan’s Franck Kessie on Barcelona radar?

Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly face fresh competition from Barcelona for the signing of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a fruitful 2020/21 campaign at club level, contributing 14 goals and six assists in 50 appearances.

Kessie’s current contract is due to expire next June and it is understood that he has thus far rejected the chance to sign an extension.

There is also firm interest from Barcelona, although Ronald Koeman’s side could struggle to put a lucrative contract on the table due to their financial problems.

Kessie would be free to discussions with foreign clubs in January, and the Champions League holders Chelsea have allegedly already offered a deal worth €8m a year to make the move to west London.
