Leicester City join Chelsea in race for Gleison Bremer

Leicester City are reportedly ready to lock horns with Chelsea over the signature of Torino’s in-demand centre-back Gleison Bremer, according to a report.

The Brazil international has been linked with a move to a number of European clubs in the summer transfer window, following an excellent campaign in Serie A, having played in 33 of Torino’s 36 league matches during the 2021-22 season so far.

Leicester City have stepped up their interest in signing the centre-back this summer according to The Sun, with attacker Dennis Praet set to be included in any potential deal for the 25-year-old Bremer.

Praet racked up 21 Italian top flight appearances on loan with Torino so far this season, and with the club interested in signing the Belgian on a permanent basis, the Foxes are willing to use him as makeweight in order to lure Bremer to King Power Stadium.

The report outlines, that the Foxes officials met with the hierarchy of Torino with the hope of agreeing the double deal.
