Chelsea join Man United in race to sign Adrien Rabiot

Chelsea are reportedly ready to lock horns with Manchester United over the signature of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot during this summer’s transfer window.

Rabiot’s future has been the subject of speculation, with the Red Devils believed to be keen to bring him to the Premier League ahead of the 2022-23 season.

However, according to L’Equipe, there is also a firm interest from Chelsea, with the west Londoners ready to explore the possibility of signing him in the current market.

The report adds that Juventus would be willing to accept somewhere around £17m for the Frenchman, as he is surplus to requirements in Turin this summer.

The 27-year-old has played a starring role for the Old Lady during the 2021-22 campaign, racking up 45 appearances in all competitions.

Meanwhile, the midfielder has scored six goals and registered six assists in 129 appearances for the Bianconeri since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2019.
