Barcelona edge Chelsea in race to sign Raphinha

Barcelona are reportedly keen to edge out Chelsea in the race to sign Raphinha from Leeds United.

The Brazil international has been a peripheral figure for the Whites last season, netting 11 goals in 35 league matches to help the club avoid relegation.

The Blues have agreed a fee with the Elland Road outfit, but the midfielder is keen on a move to Barcelona, who have previously failed to land him.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the Catalan giants have decided to offer Leeds the asking price, which would see Barca pay £55m up front with a further £8m in add-ons.

The 25-year-old has scored 17 goals in 67 appearances for Leeds United since his move from Rennes in 2020.
