AC Milan to rival Manchester United for Cody Gakpo?

AC Milan have emerged as rumoured suitor for PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo.

The 23-year-old forward was heavily linked with an exit from the Dutch outfit, only for none of the interested clubs to meet his valuation.

He has still been able to put together an impressive start to the season, finding the back of the net on 13 occasions in 18 appearances across all competitions, in addition to contributing 11 assists.

While he still has more than three-and-a-half years left on his contract, the Dutch giants are expected to be open to a sale in January if their valuation is met.

The aforementioned report suggests that last season’s Serie A champions AC Milan may be prepared to make their move during the mid-season transfer window in an effort to see off rival interest.

The Netherlands international is said to be valued at around €50m, which would realistically keep the English clubs at the front of the queue for January.
