Maximilian Wober looks set to join Leeds United

Leeds United are reportedly close to finalising a deal for Maximilian Wober of RB Salzburg.

According to 90min, Leeds and RB Salzburg are nearing an agreement for the transfer of the Austria international.

The Whites had a successful summer transfer window, bringing in several new players. However, they have been unable to maintain their early season form and now run the risk of being pulled into the fight for survival in the Premier League.

According to reports, Wobel is set to undergo a medical before finalising his £14m move to the Elland Road outfit. Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch, who signed Wobel for Salzburg in 2019, is reportedly keen on bringing him to Premier League.

At the proposed fee, the Yorkshire giants would be justified in taking a risk on the 24-year-old Austrian. Additionally, Wobel’s knowledge of Marsch’s tactics could help him quickly adapt to the setup at Leeds United.
