Newcastle United keen on Lautaro Martinez

Newcastle United remain interested in signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

The Magpies are in the middle of an incredible run in the Premier League. According to Calciomercatoweb, the Tyneside outfit are willing to spend £80 million to land the Argentina international in the summer.

Martinez has been in impressive form for the Italian outfit this season, contributing eleven goals and four assists in 20 matches.

Newcastle United aim to construct a competitive team capable of contending for trophies. They have made world class signings ever since the Saudi Arabian-backed takeover. Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimaraes, and Sven Botman added to the squad.

The inclusion of Martinez will undoubtedly add depth to Newcastle’s attacking options.

Martinez is currently tied to the San Siro club until 2026.
