Manchester United Eye Bayern Munich’s Aaron Danks in Bold Coaching Raid

Manchester United are setting their sights beyond the transfer window — and straight into Bayern Munich’s dugout.

According to TEAMtalk, the Red Devils are closely monitoring Bayern assistant manager Aaron Danks, with Michael Carrick keen to bring him to Old Trafford as part of a permanent coaching setup.

Carrick’s Masterplan Takes Shape

Since taking the reins at Old Trafford, Carrick has overseen a remarkable turnaround — Champions League football next season is now all but secured. But the former United midfielder isn’t just thinking about the squad. He’s already plotting the backroom team he wants around him if handed the job permanently.

And Danks is right at the top of that list.

Who Is Aaron Danks?

The 42-year-old has quietly built an impressive CV. He cut his teeth in the England youth setup before linking up with Vincent Kompany — first at Anderlecht in 2021, then following him to Bayern Munich, where he’s been a key part of the setup for nearly two years.

He also has Premier League pedigree, having worked at Aston Villa. Crucially, Danks and Carrick share history at Middlesbrough — two years working side by side. That trust is everything in management.

The Challenge United Face

Prising Danks away won’t be straightforward. His loyalty to Kompany runs deep, and Bayern aren’t exactly a club people walk away from lightly.

United have done their due diligence and like what they’ve seen. No formal offer has landed yet — but the interest is real, and this one is firmly worth watching.
