Galatasaray Weigh Up 2027 Move for Crystal Palace Winger Ismaila Sarr

Crystal Palace could face another transfer saga over Ismaila Sarr, with Galatasaray reportedly considering a fresh approach for the Senegal international.

Galatasaray Plot Fresh Sarr Approach

According to Football Insider, the Turkish champions have not given up on signing the 28-year-old after a bid was rejected over the summer. Liverpool also tried to land Sarr, but their reported £50 million offer fell short of Palace’s valuation.

Sarr remained at Selhurst Park, yet a limited role early this season has kept speculation alive. He has only recently returned to Pierre Sage’s plans.

Palace Hold Strong Hand

Sarr was superb in 2025/26, helping Palace win the Conference League and claiming the competition’s Golden Boot. That form explains why the Eagles resisted all approaches.

Talks over a new contract are also understood to be progressing. Palace are not looking to sell, though a big enough offer could test their resolve, and Saudi Pro League clubs have been linked too.

Why Galatasaray Could Suit Sarr

Sarr’s value and his current playing time are moving in opposite directions, which could open the door for Galatasaray. His pace and direct running would be an asset in European competition, and he would be a clear upgrade on an inconsistent Leroy Sane.

Liverpool’s interest appears to have cooled, making Anfield a tougher route. If contract talks stall, Galatasaray look a realistic alternative.

In my view, a move is far from certain. Palace clearly value him, and a strong run of form could quickly change the narrative. If his minutes stay limited, though, a 2027 exit may become hard to avoid.
