Barcelona set sights on Brazilian teenager Kaiky Fernandes?

Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Almeria’s teenage defender Kaiky Fernandes, according to a report.

The 18-year-old joined Almeria from the Brazilian outfit Santos for around €7m over the summer, and he has featured in eight La Liga games so far this season.

According to Sport, Barca are said to be closely monitoring the Brazilian’s progress at Almeria.

The centre-back is not the only player believed to be on Barca’s radar, as they have also earmarked Aymeric Laporte and Inigo Martinez as possible January targets.

The Catalan giants had reportedly agreed to a first-refusal clause with Kaiky’s former club Santos. But Barca passed up the option to sign him when the newly-promoted Saudi-backed side Almeria submitted an official bid to sign the centre-back.
