Man United step up interest in Jurrien Timber

Manchester United are looking to push ahead with interest in Ajax defender Jurrien Timber during the January transfer window, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti.

Timber, 21, has once again been one of Ajax’s standout performers in an impressive season, contributing two assists in 21 appearances across all competitions.

The Netherlands international has featured on 14 occasions in the Eredivisie this season, while he also made appearances in all six Champions League group-stage fixtures.

Timber has a contract at Ajax until June 2025.
