Wolves join race to sign Carlos Alcaraz?

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly among a few clubs looking to swoop for Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz, according to Agent Sebastian Lopez.

Alcaraz has proven himself to be one of the top prospects in Argentine football, racking up 83 appearances for Racing Club.

The 19-year-old has scored 12 goals and registered six assists, while he has 12 matches in continental football to his name.

Alcaraz possesses a contract until 2026, and he could theoretically remain at his current club in the long term, but he is allegedly generating interest from across Europe this season.

A recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that Wolves and Porto were both admirers of Alcaraz.

Inter Milan were also interested in the youngster.

However, with regard to the Wolves, head coach Lopetegui has been adamant to make a number of additions at the turn of the year.
