Fulham’s pursuit of Jonas Wind faces a major obstacle as Wolfsburg demands a hefty €50 million for the Danish striker.

The Cottagers manager Marco Silva is on the lookout for a new forward in the January transfer window. Despite previous links to Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez, Fulham’s attention has now turned to Wind, who has had an impressive season in the Bundesliga, contributing ten goals and six assists.

However, Wolfsburg’s steep asking price could potentially deter Fulham from securing Wind’s services this month. The need for a prolific striker has become more pronounced for Fulham following the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

While alternative options like Morgan Whittaker from Plymouth and a loan bid for Chelsea’s Armando Broja are on the table, the high valuation for Wind might prompt the Cottagers to reconsider their immediate pursuit.

The report suggests that Fulham could revisit their interest in the summer, hoping for a more favourable negotiation for the talented Danish attacker.
